Building Support From Your Crew.

So you want an eco-production. Where do you start? Everything happens so fast, things have to work, costs have to be controlled.

The easiest way to build support is to listen to your crew first. Their will be many green ideas that they are already using and can be implemented production wise. The next step is to put together a list of agreed upon eco goals for everyone to follow.

Some productions will choose a crew member to be responsible for this list. This is not always economically feasible, but you might find one crew member that is willing to take this duty on as a volunteer.

Vendors Want To Go Green

As your production gets going, make a point with your vendors that you are looking for cost effective ways to go green. Let them know that this is a partnership in which you both want to succeed. Vendors should be informed that the entire industry is changing and it would be a great competitive advantage to be the first to offer eco solutions to Hollywood productions.

One of the purposes of Recycle Hollywood is to let productions know about eco vendors, so please let us know about any vendors that have solutions for porductions.

Promote Participation

Use your crews expertise

Have an Eco meeting with your crew on potential goals

Make a digital report on agreed upon eco goals

Designate a crew member that will be responsible for these eco goals

Bring a vendor in to the fold right when a production gets going

Let the vendor know that this is a partnership for the environment

Vendor can see the advantages in going green by being the first to market.

Let vendor know that Recycle Hollywood can help promote.
